Beef Clip

Having successfully over come the challenge of controlling ingesta in sheep and lamb – we took the learning and began our journey to do the same for beef. An even tougher challenge; but driven by design (and much testing) we have established the Adept beef weasand clip as a vital component for effective and reliable ingesta control.

Use of the Adept Beef Clips is now recognized as “best practice‟ - their effectiveness means they are used in over 95% of abattoirs in Australasia and extensively used in the US, EU and by key processors in South America and Asia.

While the Adept beef clip is copied by other less innovative companies, our clips continue to prove their performance superiority and reliability; qualities that are never compromised and are delivered in every clip due to our unique combination as plastic experts, our manufacturing excellence and supported by our in-depth understanding of the meat industry.

Here’s why:

• Adept Beef Clips form a secure seal around the weasand (esophagus) that stops any leakage - even under severe pressure.

• The weasand does not require cutting prior or post application (as other methods do). This makes it easier to rod and seal – and with no cutting, there is no chance of any leakage within the carcass.

• Effective and efficient across all methods of slaughter processes.

• Ergonomic design, (continually developed over a number of years) makes for ease of repetitive use and very fast application – as proven on the highest chain speeds in the world.

• Adept recommends application of the clip as early as possibly in the harvest process – this guarantees maximum benefit and removes any risk of ingesta contamination from this point on.

• Adept Beef Clips meet all current FDA/EU food contact directives.

• Adept Beef Clips are able to be rendered. We choose to use a raw material that will remain inert and undetectable in all rendered by-products.

The results:

• Savings in inspection and trimming labour time and costs.

• Increased yield thanks to a substantial reduction in additional trimming requirements.

• Greatly reduced risk of E.Coli contamination which provides increased confidence in the product for all downstream customers.
