Adept Beef Plugs are specifically designed to provide excellent temporary ingesta control while the body is inverted and the Adept Beef Clip is applied.
Easy to insert, re-usable (if recovery systems in place) – they are a cost effective temporary seal delivering maximum performance over a wide range of cattle types and sizes.
Adept Beef Plug benefits:
• Adept Beef Plugs were developed to be extremely effective yet uncomplicated to use. They are designed to reduced trauma to the weasand by being small, smooth and rounded with a seal skirt. Plug ‘fingers’ securely hold the plug where it is most useful – just into the bottom of the paunch.
• They reduce the risk of any ingesta leakage before the Adept Beef Weasand Clip can be applied.
• Stacked together for convenient storage and handling - both in the warehouse and on the floor.
• Can be recovered and recycled.
• Available in 2 sizes:
- Large (500/carton) – for fully grown/heavier/older stock
- Small (1000/carton) – for smaller/lighter/younger stock
• Cost and performance effective
• Best applied using a 2 meter 16mm diameter polyethylene rod (this diameter is key to a secure plug hold for ease and speed of insertion and accurate placement)
